How it Works

piano-stage-exciting.jpg

+ What do I need?

Your piano lessons are held over Zoom, so all you need is a phone, tablet, or computer! (Plus a piano or electronic keyboard).

If you don't have a piano, here is a good 61-key option on Amazon or 88-key, weighted option.

+ Do I need any experience?

Nope! We work with brand-new piano players, as well as experienced students. It is never too late to learn.

+ What is a typical lesson like?

Before we start lessons, we will talk about YOUR goals at the piano and develop a custom learning plan for you.

Based on that plan, each week we'll cover theory, technique, jazz, and/or composing topics, as well as sight reading practice and your weekly songs.

+ How much does it cost?

We have various lesson packages available, starting at $160/month.

+ Why should I work with you, over another teacher?

Jason Lyle Black is well-known in the music industry for his charismatic, engaging personality at the piano. Students appreciate his encouragement and excitement for piano learning!

Now for every student, we create a comprehensive, written learning plan, specific to you. And in every single lesson, you'll receive new, custom videos for your weekly practice.

And finally, you'll have access to 24/7 questions via email with your instructor!

For more about our unique courses, see below. You can also see our five-star reviews for Jason on Amazon here.

+ Am I too old to learn?

Not at all! We have taught all ages, and even students with special needs. Our #1 focus is making piano something you enjoy.

Currently we focus on students age 13 and older. Our specialty is working with teenagers and busy adult professionals, though we do work with other ages as well.

+ What topics/courses do you cover?

We will teach you whatever you want to learn! With that said, most of our students' interests fall into one of the below:

  1. Sight reading (Casual Learner): Learn to sit down and just play your favorite pop, holiday, or church hits at the piano.
  2. Basic Jazz/Blues/Pop: For students interested in playing by ear, we teach you chords, rhythm, and embellishments.
  3. Composing and Arranging: For students who want to write their own music at the piano!
  4. Advanced/Virtuosic Piano: Starting from a beginning level, we will take you to a professional, concert-pianist playing level.
